What is the Journey?

Our goal is to support Pastors in building their Church, leaders and members. Our focus (mission) is the 2020 Vision. The overall idea can appear to be intimidating but the actual event is totally inclusive. We’ve had 70+ year old men and women in their 60′s make it through the program.

JOURNEY CHANNELS

This message is appropriate for men, women, couples and younger people and can be given in a number of settings. There are three channels of The Journey:

1. The Journey Message – A one night/one day event with teaching related to the Journey principals.

2. The Journey Conference – A 2 to 3 day event with teaching, break-out sessions, communion (eating together), team building and fire pit. More inclusive and less intimidating than the Journey Experience while still realizing similar results.

3. The Journey Experience – The “full-on” Journey in a Boot Camp style setting. Great for extreme team building and leadership training.

JOURNEY CONCEPTS

We have a number of basic principals that we emphasize on the Journey.

  1. Christians are called to be Warriors who will take the Kingdom of God by Force. A Warrior is not a personality trait; rather it is anyone who is willing to serve something larger than “self”. Warriorhood is not about being harsh. Warriors are as gentle as they are tough. Toughness relates to our ability to stand on the promises of personal and corporate revelation.
  2. Warriors serve a higher authority by serving a lower authority. We serve God, by serving the Church. We serve the Church by serving our Pastor and serve our Pastor by serving each other.
  3. We all have a role to play in the 20/20 Vision (mission). Our mission success is critical. If we are not doing our job (at home, career and church) then the Pastor fails. If the Pastor fails then Pastor Phil Pringle’s mission fails.
  4. Personal accountability is not about a “promise”. Rather it is about the mission. We are accountable to each other because we are accountable for our mission. Without the Warrior, the mission fails. Without a mission, Warriors are unnecessary.
  5. While there are times when a Warrior has to stand alone, the truth is that in a healthy church environment we seldom need to stand by ourselves. When we link with brothers who stand to our left and right we exponentially multiply our effectiveness. When we can trust our brothers; our home, business, spiritual and emotional lives are strengthened.

JOURNEY OVERVIEW

Outcome

The intent of the Journey program is to purposely induce a crisis. Within this controlled crisis we have no choice but to trust our brothers to our left and right. Through this trust, you and your brothers pull strength from God. When we stand with brothers and know the source of our strength, we overcome and achieve more than we ever dreamed possible.

Method

This crisis is achieved through a series of physical, mental, emotional and spiritual challenges that tax the strengths and expose the weaknesses of participants. Participants are NEVER placed in a situation where they are humiliated. The Journey is not a physical fitness test; rather, its intent is to allow the individual strengths of participants to shine, while their weaknesses are balanced through the strengths of others. Embarrassment over weaknesses and mistakes become overshadowed by the accepting embrace of fellow Journey Members who are fighting the same battle.

Service

Christians serve a higher authority (God) by serving a lower authority (Church). There is no other way to serve God than by serving the body of Christ, the local church. We teach this concept through principals that have guided military units for thousands of years. Our primary examples are the United States Marine Corps and the French Foreign Legion.

Marines serve a higher authority (The President) by serving a lower authority (their Unit). Legionnaires are not even French. Different cultures, languages and backgrounds are molded into an effective and feared fighting force by emphasizing brotherhood and sacrificial service to the Legion. Legionnaires serve the Legion by serving their brothers and serve France by serving the Legion.
