YOU give them something to eat

“They do not need to go away. You give them something to eat.” Matthew 14:16

Too often we look for someone else to help others…

  • Who’s job is it?
  • What department is responsible for this?
  • That’s not my “call.”

Maybe you are right…it is not your calling, job or department. It is your ORDER. We are the hands of Jesus here on earth. He brings the miracle…we bring the benefits of the miracle to those in need.

“Bring them here to me,” he said. And he directed the people to sit down on the grass. Taking the five loaves and the two fish and looking up to heaven, he gave thanks and broke the loaves. Then he gave them to the disciples, and the disciples gave them to the people. They all ate and were satisfied, and the disciples picked up twelve basketfuls of broken pieces that were left over. Matthew 14:18-20

Three orders from Jesus to His disciples:

  1. “Give them something to eat” – We have the bread of life. Our job is to share it.
  2. “Bring them here to me” – If we don’t BRING them to Jesus chances are they will never find Him alone.
  3. “…and then the disciples gave them to the people” – What Jesus gives to you is meant to be distributed (shared) with others. The obedience of the disciples meant that “…all ate and were satisfied.”

Now…take it to them.
