All the believers were one in heart and mind. No one claimed that any of their possessions was their own, but they shared everything they had. Acts 4:32
- “That’s mine…”
- “You can’t have that…”
- “Let it go…”
We think that we own something but everything we have, even our own bodies and lives, belongs to God. We are responsible for what we do with it but the substance of what we do and who we are belongs to God. He bought us…with the blood of Jesus.
You are not your own; for God bought you with a high price. So you must honor God with your body. 1 Corinthians 6:21
- It is not our home…it is God’s and should be used as a tool of hospitality and generosity.
- It is not our job…it is God’s intended for us to be “a breath of fresh air in this squalid and polluted society (Philippians 2:15).
- It is not our reputation…it is God’s and should be honored knowing that our actions reflect on Him.
- It is not even our ministry…it is God’s and He will do with it what He wills in order to build His kingdom.
Be of ONE heart and ONE mind with each other AND with God. Let go of what you possess and share everything that you have.
God’s rewards are souls…our reward is God’s favor. And His favor should be shared.
The apostles testified powerfully to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus, and God’s great favor was upon them all. Acts 4:33
