Ps Tim Weeks spoke this past Sunday at C3 Lawrenceville on how to make a change in your life.
“If I want what I have never had, then I need to do what I’ve never done.”
To make a change in your life you need to:
- Pick something you are passionate about.
- Being passionate about something will keep you going when the initial enthusiasm wears off.
- Willpower is not enough.
- Willpower will get you in the door of the gym a couple of times.
- Going to the Gym with a buddy will keep you going week in week out.
- You are the worst coach of yourself.
- To see real change you need someone else coaching you with the change.
- Whether this is help with finances, weight loss or starting a business, it doesn’t matter. Find someone with the experience and knowledge of what you want to do and have them coach you.
- Check out the condition of players when the pro-sports come back after lockouts to see the effect coaching yourself can have.
- Speak positive, empowering and motivating words into your life. You need to own what God says about you.
- Heb 13:5 - I will never leave you or forsake you.
- Phil 4:13 - I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.
The biggest point that Ps Tim emphasized was to not do it alone. Alone we fail, together we succeed. That’s The Journey message!
