Faith PLUS Right Action EQUALS Reward
Dear friends, do you think you’ll get anywhere in this if you learn all the right words but never do anything? Does merely talking about faith indicate that a person really has it? James 2:14 MSG
If one of you says to him, “Go, I wish you well; keep warm and well fed,” but does nothing about his physical needs, what good is it? In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead. James 2:16 – 17 NIV
Don’t fool yourself into thinking that you are a listener when you are anything but, letting the Word go in one ear and out the other. Act on what you hear! Those who hear and don’t act are like those who glance in the mirror, walk away, and two minutes later have no idea who they are, what they look like. But whoever catches a glimpse of the revealed counsel of God—the free life!—even out of the corner of his eye, and sticks with it, is no distracted scatterbrain but a man or woman of action. That person will find delight and affirmation in the action. James 1:22 – 25 MSG
The key to receiving a reward, achieving a goal, or realizing a vision is ACTION. But, it is not just any action that brings a reward. A warrior understands that it is the RIGHT (CORRECT) ACTION.
Without action, faith is most often a wasted effort. While God can and does move in a miraculous and sudden way, more often than not He requires movement on our part.
- The beggar had to pick-up his mat and walk away…
- The blind man had to wash in the fountain…
- Gideon had to march around the Jericho…
If you are looking for your miracle, ACT…If you are not sure WHAT action to take…SEEK COUNSEL.
