What price freedom is not a question…it is a statement of truth.
So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed. John 8:36
The cost of freedom is born by the blood of those who sacrificed their lives for its fruit. We who enjoy the results of their sacrifice take this freedom and abuse the memory of the cost by squandering its benefits.
Without our OWN (personal) sacrifice for freedom we begin to think of its benefits in terms of what we are FREE to do. But freedom does not exist so we can “do.” Freedom’s true fruit is the washing away of our guilt so that we can connect with God.
For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. … Read More »
There’s no chance unless you take one…Line from ICarly theme song
So let us come boldly to the throne of our gracious God. There we will receive his mercy, and we will find grace to help us when we need it most. Hebrews 4:16
God takes chances on people…
He pulled Moses from the desert
Jona from the whale
Gideon from the wine press
Rahab from the red light district of Jericho
David from the sheep
Peter from the boat
Paul from road to Damascus
The only “sure bet” for God was Jesus. The rest…everyone of them…was a risk. Not all succeeded every time yet God still believed in them. He’ll still believe in you. OUR JOB is to take a chance on God. Put our faith where our actions are by GOING BOLD. When you are called…when God takes a chance on you…
Submit on purpose

This past weekend we had the C3 Lawrencville School Of Ministry Journey.
We had 12 students who participated and finished the Journey.
There were a number of students who while on the Journey found the words “I cant” coming from their lips. Yet when they dug deeper and leaned on God and their team members, they found this inner resevor of strength they didn’t know they had.
Once they found that strength they were able to tap it and found “They could” complete the task and ultimately the Journey.
In life we need to be tapping our inner resevor of strength that is God. When you say “I cant” God says “You can!”
Lean on him daily and run your race for him.
Philippians 2:16 NLT
Hold firmly to the word of life; then, on the day of Christ’s return, I … Read More »
Woke early…real early…this morning in anticipation of the C3ATL Journeys this weekend.
Manhood Born – Providing a transition from boyhood to manhood for 11 – 15 year olds.
C3 ATL School of Ministry – Forging teamwork and focus with the students of the 2012 SOM class.
Quiet time for me is never a “sit still time.” I read, meditate and pray with my mind in almost constant motion around revelation received.
This morning I keep returning to a line from the movie Inglourious Bastards. Brad Pitt, playing Lt. Aldo, had an opening speech to the 8 soldiers who were going to accompany him into German occupied France.
Once we are in enemy territory; as a bush whacking Guerrilla Army we are going to be doing one thing and one thing only, killing Nazis. Lt Aldo
What I love about this line is the simplicity … Read More »
Victims have accidents…Warriors have purpose
So I run with purpose in every step. I am not just shadowboxing. 1 Corinthians 9:26
What we do…we do on purpose. What we don’t do…we DON’T do on purpose.
There are no accidents in our spiritual walk and personal life. We don’t end up somewhere (closer walk with God…stronger family…better finances…bigger witness) without a sense of…
Faith is a DECISION. Done on purpose outside of what we might feel. When we develop traits like fortitude and perseverance we quit being a victim of accidents and make our life a purposed life. So, be like Paul and break away from the accident mentality.
DIG DEEPER IN CORINTHIANS
A look at Luke 10
72 had a mission. They returned victorious with stories of salvations, healing and deliverance…”even the demons submit to us in your name (vs17).”
Jesus understood the excitement of the flush of their victory. He tasted the same victory when He “…saw Satan fall like lightning from the sky (vs 18).” But our walk is not all about our victories.
Ultimately what is really important is that our names are written in Heaven.
I have given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy; nothing will harm you. However, do not rejoice that the spirits submit to you, but rejoice that your names are written in heaven.” Luke 10:19-20
What we do on earth DOES matter. What we go through, the good and the bad, DOES matter. God is a … Read More »
Some things are too important to wait for the “right time.” The right time may never come. Instead, we need to make the time right.
There are things lingering over your head that you need to handle…make the time right.
For God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self-discipline. 2 Timothy 1:7
Some habits in your life have become bondage to your growth, your health and your world…make the time right.
“The Spirit of the LORD is upon me, for he has anointed me to bring Good News to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim that captives will be released, that the blind will see, that the oppressed will be set free, Luke 4:18
With seriously busy schedules it is difficult to prioritize time with God…make the time right.

Russell: “But I want to help!”
Carl Fredricksen: “I don’t want your help, I want you safe.” – UP
Men seem to have this innate wish to do everything by ourselves. Whether it is because we don’t trust anyone else to do the job or our motives are to keep others safe; the bottom line cause is most often that we are afraid of seeming weak by relying on others to get the job done. Whatever our excuse, we end up working alone.
God however didn’t build us to work alone. We need brothers to stand with us. Brothers like Johnathan’s armor bearer, who regardless of the odds stood with Johnathan.
1 Samuel 14
6 “Let’s go across to the outpost of those pagans,” Jonathan said to his armor bearer. “Perhaps the Lord will help us, for nothing can hinder … Read More »
…but see to it that you are not alarmed. Matthew 4:6b
Count them; nine words…
…and they end with “alarmed.”
In the original greek “alarmed” means:
Do not be scared out of your wits.
Do not cry aloud or scream.
Do not be terrified by an outcry.
Jesus was talking about the end times but what does this mean for OUR times…your life now? What is wrong with being alarmed?
Being scared out of your wits takes wisdom away from your life. In other words your focus is not on doing what is right but on your internal fright.
Try to work (function, attack, think, be in faith) while you scream. You can’t. Crying and screaming is a singular activity. Perhaps you are coordinated enough to chew gum and walk at the same but no one is able to scream and think clearly at the same … Read More »
A Warrior Knows the True Formula for Success
We move – God moves…Dean Sweetman
F + R/A = R
Faith PLUS Right Action EQUALS Reward
Dear friends, do you think you’ll get anywhere in this if you learn all the right words but never do anything? Does merely talking about faith indicate that a person really has it? James 2:14 MSG
If one of you says to him, “Go, I wish you well; keep warm and well fed,” but does nothing about his physical needs, what good is it? In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead. James 2:16 – 17 NIV
Don’t fool yourself into thinking that you are a listener when you are anything but, letting the Word go in one ear and out the other. Act on what … Read More »
