Know Your Foundation!

Key Verse: Ephesians 6:15 

For shoes, put on the peace that comes from the Good News so that you will be fully prepared. New Living Translation

Put on your shoes so that you are ready to spread the Good News that gives peace. God’s Word Translation

Key Points:

• Foundation is not flashy…it is not a natural focal point…but without foundation you cannot STAND.
• Your footwear provides you with a solid foundation. They firm up your faith…stand on God’s promises…based on God’s word.
• On boots;
• Armies advance
• Sword thrusts have power
• Shields deflect blows
• Without boots;
• Progress halts on rough terrain
• Sword thrusts are weakened
• Shields are dropped and broken

So put on all of God’s armor. Evil days will come. But you will be able to stand up to anything. And after you have done everything you can, you will still be standing.

So stand firm. Put the belt of truth around your waist. Put the armor of godliness on your chest. Wear on your feet what will prepare you to tell the good news of peace.  Also, pick up the shield of faith. With it you can put out all of the flaming arrows of the evil one.  Put on the helmet of salvation. And take the sword of the Holy Spirit. The sword is God’s word.
