Timidity to Boldness

And the special gift of ministry you received when I laid hands on you and prayed—keep that ablaze! God doesn’t want us to be shy with his gifts, but bold and loving and sensible. 2 Timothy 1:7 MSG

God has given us all – Gifts, Talents, Abilities – as part of our call. If we are timid with the implementation and impartation of these gifts, our impact will be minimal.

But it’s not all about our gifts. It’s not about our talents. It’s about our heart.

Heart is summed up in ONE word, FAITH.

Mind Control

Posted by Jim Crumbley in Focus. No Comments

27th February

We all struggle with our thought lives.

Doubts

Anger

Guilt

Sin

Regret

At times, these self-defeating thoughts race through our minds at blinding speeds. Our mind has the tendency to control what we believe, feel and DO.

And no wonder; studies indicate that our mind “thinks” at a speed … Read More »

All we need is love…

Posted by Jim Crumbley in Love. No Comments

20th February

It’s all about love…building the church, taking the Kingdom, changing lives…without love; it’s just noise and the world is noisy enough as it is.

Love is our motivation….

Love is how people know that we belong to Christ…

Love is why we sacrifice and serve…

Love of His sheep is how we show Jesus our love for him…

Love is our Mission…

Love is the fulfillment … Read More »

It’s Not About the Event

It’s NEVER about the Event

The true EVENT is not the event. It’s the connection.

CONNECTION stories of previous Real Men EVENTS:

Maybe you don’t need this EVENT but the EVENT needs you. There’s a man thinking of coming that God will place right by you. He needs that CONNECTION and so do you.

A Warrior Bridges the Gap Between the Man that He is and the Man that He Can Be

When I look at you I see the man that you are and the man that you could be.  When the TWO MEET, you’ll be a hell of a football player. Gene Hackman to Keanu Reeves in the REPLACEMENT PLAYERS

You are the LORD God, who chose Abram and brought him out of Ur of the Chaldeans and named him Abraham. Nehemiah 9:7

Impacting those who need our doctor

Later Jesus and his disciples were at home having supper with a collection of disreputable guests. Unlikely as it seems, more than a few of them had become followers. The religion scholars and Pharisees saw him keeping this kind of company and lit into his disciples: “What kind of example is this, acting cozy with the riffraff?” Jesus, overhearing, shot back, “Who needs a doctor: the healthy or the sick? I’m here inviting the sin-sick, not the spiritually-fit.” Mark 2:15-17 MSG

Early yesterday evening, Dona and I went to a smoke filled, rowdy bar in Hall County for a going away gathering. “Big D,” the Cheese Head, is heading back to Wisconsin to take … Read More »

Challenges

6th February

In all of the Journey “verticals” (Journey Message, Journey Conference and our boot camp, The Journey Experience) there are challenges. The question remains; why?

The easy answer is that challenges strengthen us and create a sense of brotherhood. That’s true but it is still the “easy answer.” The larger truth is that God has a purpose in what he’s developed through The Journey formats. This concept is clearly laid out by Paul in Philippians 4:11 – 13.

We shouldn’t forget that Paul was in jail when he wrote this letter. Paul is letting us know through both his words and his … Read More »

Seeking with Tenacity

Seeking with Tenacity

“Here’s what I’m saying:
Ask and you’ll get;
Seek and you’ll find;
Knock and the door will open.” Luke 11:9

Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need. Matthew 6:33

These verses are more than just God’s promise to us. They are instructions on how to live our lives. It’s not enough to just “claim” these verses, we have to CARRY them out.

This requires SIX things:

Know what you are seeking: Are you looking for a word from God, wisdom, direction or a miracle? If so, you need to be able to accurately describe what you seek. This isn’t for God, He already knows. This is for you. If you don’t know what you are looking for, how will you know when you find it?
Keep your eyes open … Read More »
